Nylander for Ghost. The Leafs save 2 million and get better on the blue line.
That is the salesman in me talking. Ghost isn't the dman they need. They need a player like Sanheim or Provorov who can play as well in his own zone as on the attack. That would make them better. The Flyers would be crazy to move either of them.

Not sure what the spiel is about Zaitsev and having to "sweeten" the pot for any deal.
Leafs dont "need" to trade him. He's not Marleau. He can go play in the KHL if he doesnt get traded, problem solved.
He's also a good d-man in a #3 or 4 slot, and has had a 30+ point season until Babcock destroyed his offensive output.
If they cant trade him, he either plays here or plays in the KHL, but the Leafs are in a win-win situation in that scenario. No need to do anything. |
